During this 1st edition held in Bucharest, visitors had the opportunity to see complex systems and applications for smart cities and learn how it can be tailored to meet specific needs.
The conference agenda covered the main directions in the development of a ‘smart city’ and was grouped into sections such as: Smart buildings, Information and communication technologies, Smart security, Mobility & Transport Energy & Sustainability, Intelligent Systems Transport Management, Emergency Planning, Environment and Security. The event gathered companies such as: Bosch, Cisco, Ericsson, IBM, Lantec, Orange, Rasirom, Rittal Systems, Rom Tech, Teamnet Telekom, UTI Grup and Vodafone.
In the presentation delivered by our team, we talked about new methods and an integrated approach on managing and assigning the resources in case of emergency or disaster situation. Teamnet developed a complete solution for emergency and disaster management – EmerGIS. Teamnet provides institutions in Romania and in the region, a complex system by which to gain a complete overview of the emergency and determine the best response strategy in the shortest time. EmerGIS is the integrated system for the 112 emergency service in Romania, which manages each month more than 1.4 million calls. Teamnet Group also invests and work actively in researching and developing innovative technologies to translate the concept into reality.
